Closing SSR Walkway to DTD

The walkway between SSR and Downtown Disney Marketplace is scheduled to close on Monday, July 8, 2013.

The lesser known walking path between SSR and the Downtown Disney West Side will remain open. Transportation between the two areas is also provided via bus and boat.

A new walking path between Saratoga Springs and the renovated Disney Springs will eventually be constructed. Estimated completion of that project is currently unknown.

That's too bad - it one of the things we really liked about staying at Saratoga Springs.

Never even knew there was a "western route." Checked it out on Google Earth, doesn't look too much longer than the "Marketplace route."

WHY? that's the one advantage we have staying at saratoge springs...we can walk to downtown. why are thet always messing things up that work

If you don't mind ending up next to the golf course and parking lot. Pretty far if you're staying in Congress Park and your destination is the Marketplace. The boats or buses are a better bet.
