If we decide not to rent a car, what would be the cheapest way to get from HR to a close-by outlet mall (within 5 miles) and then back when done shopping?

I would say probably cab... I don't know much about the car services so I cannot say if they would be cheaper.. There is a car service which would pick you up and wait for you, but they would only give you 30 minutes, I believe... You would have to price out the car services...

I agree with DisneyFreak2002 - the cab will be the cheapest. You should have no problem getting one from the resort. I usually like to call concierge and give them a heads up before I make my way down from the room. You may also want to jot down the name and the phone number of the cab company you take before exiting to the outlets (just in case there isn't a line of cabs waiting there when you're done).
