Is is possible to apply the price of a 5 day park hopper to an annual pass? We have added days to our park tickets before but I didn't know if upgrading to an AP is also a possibility?

Yes you can provided it still has a day left (or part of a day) and it is 14 days or less from first use.

The only thing I would add to what Lynn said is that your Annual Pass will be activated from the day you first used your tickets you're using in the upgrade. So, they won't give you a voucher that you can activate later. The AP will be good for 1 year from the date you first used the upgraded tickets.
