Has anyone flown JetBlue recently?

I just booked a flight with JetBlue because we got an excellent price for an upcoming trip. We always fly Southwest with no complaints, but couldn't resist the JetBlue price this time around. Anyone have experience flying JetBlue? Also, how much leg & seat room for long legs & "pooh-sized" guest? Thanks!

We are frequent JB flyers and are quite pleased. As a comparison to SW, JB offers 2 more inches between rows and .8 inches in width. My boys are both athletic builds (17 & 21) and I do buy the extra space seats when we fly, that's an extra six inches of legroom. IMO, well worth it if you can get it.

We're flown JetBlue a number of times. Our last few trips to Disney have been on JetBlue and I do prefer them to Southwest as I do like being able to pick my seat ahead of time.

Sometimes, we have opted for the extra legroom option which is an extra cost. Depending on the airport, this may also include priority security clearance at the airport and priority boarding on the plane.

We love JetBlue and this is now our preferred airline. I don't think Southwest or Delta come close to JB and I do believe the seats are a little bigger. Also, the tv's are big plus. Once you fly them, you'll fly them regularly.

Jet Blue is incredible !! As mentioned there is a bit more of a roomy feel and you can't go wrong with how they treat ya !!:mickey:

JetBlue is my favorite airlines. I love the TVs, no baggage fees, and the abundance of non-stop flights from Boston to Orlando. Ive never had a problem with leg room.

I'm small so I'm not much help on sizing. DH is 6'3" and finds he does alright on leg room.

For me, as a nervous flyer, you can't be the TVs. Being able to turn on food network and ignore whats going on around me is worth it every, single time.

LOVE Jet Blue. They are a great airline. The seats can be very roomy, depending on what kind of plane you get. They have Embraer 190 Jets that seat 2x2 and those seats are HUGE and have tons of leg room. We flew one of those from Long Beach, CA to MCO and it was so comfortable! We are also slated to fly an E190 jet down to Orlando this summer from D.C. I'm excited because I love that plane!

Their Airbus planes have a bit more room than most others, but it's not that noticeable unless you purchase the upgraded "even more leg room" seats, which are worth it, BUT there is a caveat. Those are typically exit row seats, so if you want a seat that reclines, choose the furthest back of the "even more leg room" seats. The row of seats directly in front of the exit row does NOT recline!

Many times the first row (bulk head row) seats on JetBlue are reserved to seat passengers who are using a wheelchair, though those rows are "more leg room" seats. I've handled Mom's airline booking when she flys up to visit and sometimes she flys JetBlue into Newark, close to where my sister lives.

When you book a JetBlue flight online and indicate you will need wheelchair assistance, you are directed to call reservations and they will assign you a seat. Mom has always been placed in the first row and was not charged the extra cost.

JetBlue was 3rd on Consumer Reports current article on airlines behind Virgin America and Southwest, citing the legroom, free luggage and in seat entertainment.

And Spirit was rated one of the worst companies ever tested by the magazine, but that's probably for another thread.

These are my top three airlines as well! Even in the same order.

You don't think so? I think it's fine. Plenty of options from LAX-IAD. I just don't like their prices! I think their schedule is WAY better than Jet Blue's from here to CA. Jet Blue only does red eyes east bound. Yuck!

Nope, not accommodating to me. I want early flights westbound, and non-stop would be nice. There are only 2 options for the day I want to fly out. And I like redeyes. :)

For what it's worth, and I know they have had their share of troubles... I've never had any problems with them.
I HATE all the airline fees, and find that for the price, Jet Blue is awesome. One free checked bag, snacks and drinks, roomy seats, AND inflight entertainment.

What's not to like.
My family of 4 flew to WDW from NJ last Thanksgiving for $900 round trip for all of us. Not too shabby...

Thanks everyone! We have flown SW for so many years that it made me nervous to book another airline. We're flying Philly to Boston to Dallas to visit family and got 4 roundtrip tix for $1014...just could not pass up the deal. Flights to Dallas are so expensive.

One more question...does a booster car seat count as a "checked bag" or does it go as a carry on? We need it for when we arrive in Dallas.

Basically the choice is yours. JetBlue will accept the booster seat as checked luggage, it will not count as one of your checked bags and there is no fee assessed. You can also carry it on or gate check it at no charge.

I fly JetBlue whenever available. I like that there's only one "class," plus what other airline these days gives you a can of soda, a snack, a free checked bag, and a tv at every seat on a domestic flight?
