Police escort leaving AK?

Yesterday on our bus to AK around nine, we saw a police escort guiding a big stretch SUV. Police bikes had stopped traffic from entering the roadway. Looked like the car was coming from the park. Definitely not presidential or even vice presidential. Thoughts??

there was no mention of anyone specific but usually police escort means either government or diplomat... but hard to say

It was probably a visiting foreign dignitary or something. I'm quite sure foreign heads of state like to visit Disney World too.

Didn't Nikita Khrushchev once try to visit Disneyland?

Yep, and was rebuffed reportedly due to lack of adequate security.

I'm sure Walt, being the ardent anti-communist that he was, was probably tickled that he wasn't able to make it in.
