ME question

Ok, this might sound weird but I will at least ask. I am traveling with my mom who has considerable health and mobility issues. I am renting a car for our trip to make things easier on her but getting her and all the luggage and the rental car is going to be a lot to handle. Is it possible to book ME, check our bags, then just have them bring our bags to our resort but we don't ride the bus?

No, unfortunately, it's not possible. DME's policy clearly states it's not a "luggage only" service. Were that the case every single person coming to Disney would be sending their luggage via DME even if they rented a car. So, the only way to get your luggage transferred is to use the bus.

Now, going home you can use the resort luggage check-in for the airport. That's a separate service than DME.

I'd recommend utilizing the services of a skycap/porter. They are normally stationed around the baggage claim area and will transport your luggage to your rental car or shuttle.
