I signed up for the next webcast. I'm wondering if they'll be releasing any information on the GF Villas. It seems a bit early but you never know. It is open to members and nonmembers, anyone interested can sign up here (http://www.disneyvacationclubwebevent.com/).

Signed up for the new lithograph. I've never learned anything new at these webcasts, they are just sales pitches.

I also signed up just for the lithograph. I find the webcasts interesting but rarely ever learn anything new besides new dvc rates for the sales pitch.

We are on the fence on buying DVC. The salesman I have been talking to, told me about the webcast and said he could not discuss it, but to call him after I watch, He made it sound like it may contain something to sweeten the deal for me to buy in??? Anyone see these wedcasts before and receive any discounts from watching it?

We've watched them and there is usually some kind of incentive. So far, the best incentives we've seen have been on the cruises. That's where we did our last add-on...

The webcasts are fun to watch and we get the lithograph. The only new things we get are the current cost/point and when they are going to increase.

Well I watched and thought the incentives were kind of strange ???
With the number of visits & length of stays that DVC folks use, i suspect many have APs, plus we had the great $399 special on PAPs this year. So I found it odd that the incentive was park tickets? Plus they were really pushing Vero and park tickets do little good there?
The sales were on AKL, Alauni, and Boardwalk- thought that was long sold? I LOVE boardwalk and wouldn't mind adding a few there,
No mention of GF.

Christine, I watched too and found the whole thing a bit strange. I think they're trying to take back from the resale market but don't see a couple free tickets as much an incentive. BWV is sold out but there are a lot on the market so it just means ROFR for those looking at resale.

IMO the only way they will get back sales is to place tighter restrictions on resale properties. If I was considering adding on via resale I'd probably do it sooner rather than later.

The credits were interesting. The tickets, not so much. A little odd. They used to offer gift cards, we got a $500.00 gift card when we bought in. But I agree with you Christine, except the premium ap offer is long expired now for that price which is a bummer cause we never got it :( still hoping they do that again some day.

I think the housing market collapse put a lot of points back in Disney's hands. We originally bought in 2000 which was the right in the middle of all the weird mortgage business. And BWV was what was available. Makes sense that it's all back in Disney's hands now.

The way to sell these is to price them where they should be.

I missed all these offers, I just started the viewing and walked away, just wanted to get my lithograph.

Awwwww. Some of you sound like Grumpy. I love these webcasts!

After TEN YEARS of considering buying DVC, I watched one of these just to dream, and at the end I asked a couple of questions on live chat, then I got a phone call (I was asked first if someone might call me, and I said Yes). I told the agent she was preaching to the choir and asked her how we could help convince my husband to join me in my desire to buy DVC.

Long story short: I now have DVC, have fulfilled a childhood dream by buying at Bay Lake Tower (Contemporary was the dream I'm referring to), had the most amazing rooms at AKL for my 10th anniversary trip, am able to take my mom to WDW each time I go and feel like I'm "paying her back" for all the sacrifices she and Dad made to take me to WDW as a child by putting her up in complete luxury, and I eventually went back to work in an exciting career, in part so that I could have extra income to afford to take my own kids to WDW every other year and stay in a place where we have a full kitchen and washer/dryer and amazing rooms and pools.

All because of a webcast! I now watch them every time, never knowing what dreams may be fulfilled at the end. ;)

(And this one actually did make me interested in Vero Beach.)

Yes, obviously, people like me are the reason Disney invests in these webcasts. But that doesn't make me love the videos, Disney, or DVC any less.

I must say, Vero Beach caught my attention too. We had been thinking about Hilton Head but the beach cottages at Vero really caught my eye.
