I don't think I'm soomg the 10 mile this year. I don't care for the course on this one- lots of ESPN WWoS parking lot & Osceola parkway

Probably wont do the 5K either, as its thru ESPN WWoS.

I may just cover this one vs participate :)

Yeah-I looked at the course and schedule, not very appealing.
Because you have to pick up your run pack the day before I would actually have to stay at least 1 night, 2 if I wanted to do the Villains Bash after party... I'm not that excited to do that for just 5k. I think I will do a few more local (St. Pete/Tampa) runs for my training and save my "stay on property" funds to go all out for the 2014 1/2 :)
But, if there are any runners that need a good cheering, let me know! I wouldn't be opposed to getting up there early to cheer on some fellow Intercotees 1 day.

Although my hubby would concur that the course for this one stinks, if I were a runner (HA, what a dream that is!), I'd run it just for the cool medal and the after party.

My old boss in Tampa is running it this year, and I'm so excited for her. She rocks - in her 50s and this will be her longest distance yet. She's working up to the Princess Half next year.

This will be my first tower run, I'm really looking forward to the after party and seeing all the villains. But I figure if the course is boring then that's all the more reason to try and finish sooner. Same reason at the end of my running playlist I throw in small world about every fifth song or so. I love small world song once but knowing it's about to begin haunting me is a great incentive to speed up and cross the finish line

I plan on running it. It will be my longest run and first at Disney, so the course will be just fine !! ...hopefully !!

I just registered for this on a whim. Have to redeem my family's ap vouchers before they expire and they decided to go this weekend. If I'm there anyway I might as well do it.

Any reviews of the after party? Is it worth my family getting tickets or is it not worth the cost? Would it be a good sub for MNSSHP or should we do both?

It is no sub for mnsshp. It is a fun party in that there is a DJ & rare villian character greets. If you're going to buy just one set of party tix, do mnsshp. :)

I'm so sad that I missed out on registering for this run! I didn't get my act together in time! We're going to be there, too...from Oct. 1-5th. I've been dying to run in this particular event. Ah well, there's always next year. At least I'll get to witness all the fun and I'll be extra- inspired by all the runners. Jealous...but this will make me even more determined to register in time for next year!

I know. It does stink. Thank you for being sorry for me!

Hmmmm...Castaway Cay 5K? I just saw this listed in your signature. This sounds very cool, and like something I need to do...someday. :walk:

It was so fun!! It's hot tho bc you run through groves and there's little air flow

I love Castaway Cay. I'm sure it was VERY fun! I think I'll be ok with little air flow. I live on Cape Cod so, if I want to run in the summer, I have to put up with the sometimes oppressive humidity. I see you're 5miles from the Magic, so I'm assuming you know all about humidity, too. ;)

We're last minute ish going to be in WDW for this weekend for unrelated reasons. I want so badly to run the 5K at ESPN on the morning of the 5th. It's sold out! Any chance of getting in? Do they have a waiting list? I checked the charity pages of registration to see if I could figure a way in but it looks like they just sponser the 10 mile run, not the 5K...so sad.

I will be down at WDW Oct 2-6, and will be participating in the ToT 10-miler and will be running (well let's be honest: "walking with style!") alone...also doing the after-party alone. Anyone want to do it with me?! :mickey:

Hi Lisa!

Unfortunately, runDisney doesn't have a wait list.

Check out the posts in this forum or the runDisney site for all the upcoming races. They all have been selling out fast though so you have to be quick. You would have a blast at the 5Ks and definitely a "must do"! :walk:
