Chapstick/lip gloss expires?

Does anyone know if chapstick or lip gloss goes bad? I was cleaning and found a bunch in a drawer.. it's probably a few years old.

I don't think they go "bad" but I have a bunch I just bought and those with SPF expire after one year. I can usually tell if I'm using an older one because it tastes different and seems dryer. I would probably toss the chapsticks.

According to the Chapstick website, the shelf life of most of their products is two to three years.
