Feb. 1, 2004 – Immediately following the New England Patriots Super Bowl win, quarterback Tom Brady was captured on video exclaiming: “I’m going to Disney World!” (The 34th episode of the long running TV ad would air all over the country the following morning.
Feb. 1, 2005 – “This actress who is the voice of Kim Possible…played Belle in Beauty and the Beast” is the answer given on today’s airing of the TV game show Jeopardy. The contestant answered correctly “Who is Christy Carlson Romano.
Feb. 1, 2005 – Disney’s animated film “Mulan II” was released direct-to-video.
Feb. 1, 2008 – Directors at the Walt Disney Co. signed the chief executive Robert A. Iger, to a new five-year contract.
Feb. 1, 2008 – Disney Channel premiered the 3rd “Phineas and Ferb” episode “Flop Starz.”
Feb. 1, 2009 – Santonio Holmes and Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers filmed their “I’m going to Disney World” commercial on the field following Pittsburgh’s 27-23 victory over the Arizona Cardinals at Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa, Fl.
Feb. 1, 2011 – Walt Disney’s 1951 classic “Alice in Wonderland” was released to Blu-ray as a new 2-disc 60th Anniversary Edition.
Feb. 1, 2011 – The Visual Effects Society announced the winners of the 9th Annual VES Awards in Beverly Hills, Ca. Pixar’s “Day & Night” won Outstanding Achievement in an Animated Short.
Feb. 1, 2011 – The spring issue of D23 magazine was released.
Feb. 1, 2011 – “Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2” was released direct-to-DVD.
