InnovenChange

1/19/13 Habit Heroes has re-opened in Innoventions East after a lengthy closure. The new exhibit features Guests being recruited to fight non-human, impressionistic characters representing effects such as dehydration (flames) and inactivity (boulders) with “weapons” such as water and exercise. The exhibit still features three interactive rooms.

2/27/12 The new Habit Heroes exhibit at Innoventions East in Epcot closed on February 25th. An official announcment has not been released regarding the closure, but Epcot Cast are reporting that the closure is likely for a re-work and not a permanent closure.

2/23/12 Earlier this month a new exhibit opened at Innoventions East in Epcot. The Habit Heroes exhibit presented by Florida Blue and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield aims to teach healthy lifestyles for Guests of all ages. The exhibits features an interactive blaster game where Will Power and Callie Stenics help Guests battle villains such as “The Snacker” and “Sweet Tooth”.

More Time to Meet

1/16/13 Epcot's Disney Visa Cardholder Meet & Greet in Innoventions West has expanded its operating hours. The location will now open a half hour earlier and close two and a half hours later for an operating time of 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm.

Celebrate the Changes

1/16/13 The Magic Kingdoms’s nightly projection show has recently debuted a few changes. Observant Guests and Cast have reported that Celebrate The Magic has revised The Brave and finale segments as of January 15th.

Menu Mash

1/16/13 Le Cellier in Epcot’s Canada pavilion has recently announced a new All-Day menu. At the time of the announcement it was acknowledfed that the popuplar Le Cellier House Burger from the Lunch menu will not be part of the new All-Day menu. You can view the full announcement in the Dining Forum (http://www.intercot.com/discussion/showpost.php?p=2328028&postcount=1).

In The Loop

1/14/13 Guests may soon find travel to and from the Magic Kingdom to be less congested. The Walt Disney World resort has filed a construction application with the South Florida Water Management District to build a third bus loop. If approved, the new bus loop would be located between the two existing bus loops and the shore of the Seven Seas Lagoon. In addition to adding capacity for additional buses, it appears the third loop would better allow for the larger, articulated buses that have previously been tested. A time table for the construction has not been reported.

Tasty Alternatives

1/14/13 During the Main Street Bakery closure, the Magic Kingdom will offer Guests some alternatives to get their pastry fix. During the closure, the Tommorowland Terrace will offer a quick service breakfast that includes Danishes, mini waffles, breakfast croissants, and beignets. Magic Kingdom Cast have been instructed to direct Guests looking for Cinnamon Rolls to Gaston’s Tavern in Fantasyland.

Mor’ Eating?

1/14/13 Marrakesh Moroccan LLC, the owner/operation of the restaurants in Epcot’s Morocco pavilion, has reportedly proposed plans to add a third restaurant to the pavilion between the Friendship Boat Dock and the Mo’ Rockin Stage. The proposed restaurant is tentatively named Tapaz and would feature small plate dishes, pastries, cocktails and wines. The location is proposed to offer 60 indoors seats, 120 outdoor seats, and a walk-up window. Although the park has not confirmed a time table, the proposal reportedly outlined construction to start Winter 2013 with a grand opening later in 2013.

InnovenChange

1/14/13IBM has opened a new exhibit in Epcot’s Innoventions West. The new IBM Think exhibit aims to examine how people can improve the world. The exhibit feature a large interactive digital wall entrance, a 10 minute film shown in a mini-theater, and a room filled with touchscreens where Guests may explore the ideas presented in the film.

New Heritage

12/22/12 The American Heritage Gallery inside Epcot’s American Adventure pavilion will be receiving some new displays in 2013. The park has announced that the gallery will debut more than 40 pieces from The Kinsey Collection. The new displays will feature African-American art, documents, books, sculptures, and artifacts dating back to the 17th century. A preview of the new exhibit will be shown in February 2013 with the full exhibit opening in March 2013.

Hope the third bus loop comes to fruition. That would really help the backlog/waiting at park closing, especially for the value resorts.
