Looks like the only time we can make it to WDW this year is in around July 20. Does anyone have any insight into the crowds at that time? Thanks!

It's summer and it's going to be very hot and crowded. They're not as bad as 4th of July week but still bad. Still, if you get up and get to the parks early and use FP you can do everything you want. Just plan on some lines and make sure you take some swimming breaks in the afternoon. Also have as many dining reservations as possible completed so you can be sure and eat where you want to eat.

Hot, humid and quite crowded - it's the peak of the summer season. Also expect an almost daily thunder shower - some are pretty intense - doesn't mean you will get one every single day but there'll likely be one somewhere in the area every day.

I'd suggest your park touring for early morning and evening. Take the middle part of your day for a nice air-conditioned meal in a restaurant and/or return to your resort for some cooling and possibly some swimming.

We were there late July/early August last summer. It was very hot and crowded. There were a lot of foreign tour groups there as well. Overall, it wasn't as bad as you'd think it would be during that time of the year. We're from South Louisiana so we're used to the heat and humidity. We would go to the parks late in the day, after dinner, and stay late until closing. During the day when it was hot, we'd go to the waterparks, swim at our resort, or go to DisneyQuest. It was actually okay because we knew to expect heat and crowds. We utilized FastPass and planned our day according to crowd calculators which really helped. Because of our experience last summer, we're planning on going again this summer.

My son's birthday is July 17. We've gone a few times in July. Like others have said...it is hot, humid, and crowded.

It's very do-able as long as you have plan. Our plan includes early mornings & late nights in the parks along w/lots of patience. We love the water parks too!!
