Next year, for the first time since 1971, Walt Disney World will not host a PGA Tour event. In October, the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals announced that it was allowing its sponsorship of the annual tournament to expire after this season, and Disney decided not to continue with the event. The Disney tournament was traditionally the last stop for players hoping to make enough money to earn their PGA Tour cards. Disney has not ruled out sponsoring a similar PGA Tour event in the future, but there are currently no plans to do so.
