Hello friends, here I am at MCO waiting to board my flight. Still can't believe I haven't been cancelled but I won't say that too loudly. I feel so bad for everyone stranded. FL isn't the worst place to be stuck, but when you're tired and out of clean clothes sometimes you just want to sleep in your own bed! I hope everyone still around gets home as soon and as safely as possible.

Back to the memories though. Saturday was an eeeeearrrrly morning, I met Sherri, Amy, Kathy, and Denise at the Pop bus stop to EPCOT around 7:25. We were on our way to the Soarin' group ride and breakfast! After Soarin' we were escorted over to the Living Seas into a special group function room. The windows into the tank are located across from Coral Reef so we had similar views. Very cool being back there! They also had nautical Disney music playing in the background. We picked up our Intercot swag (thanks to the great sponsors!) and got in line for food. The buffet was yummy and I helped myself to a heaping pile of *crisp* bacon. Soon after, John brought us to attention and introduced our special guest, Seaside Mickey! After meeting the big cheese himself I headed over to ride Spaceship Earth, did a little browsing in Mouse Gears and met up with Kathy & Amy to ride Mission:Space. After our mission to Mars Kathy and I walked toward World Showcase to meet Duffy!

While in line, a family of first timers were ahead of us, and one lady was behind us. The mom in front was reading The Unofficial Guide and from behind I heard the woman laughing to herself. The kids in the family were being very cute so I thought that's why she was laughing. But then she said "no, I'm giggling joyfully at the book she is reading" meaning the UG. Ok, I thought that was a little strange, but whatever. Then the lady behind me asked the mom "Do you find that book helpful?" The mom replied "Yes, it's been pretty helpful." Then the lady said "Good, because I am one of the authors!" She co-authors the UG and was in the parks on Saturday. How funny is that? She was a very nice lady and we had fun chatting about the UG (Kathy and I both have used it in the past).

After that we split up, I headed over to Rose and Crown to get a Strongbow and browse around. I knew World Showcase would be crowded, there's no getting around that when it's F&W fest on a weekend. It wasn't that bad until I hit France and it was wall to wall people. Squeezed my way through to American Adventure and finished my cider outside by the fountain, then went into AA to listen to Voices of Liberty. Love, love, love them. Didn't have time to stay for the AA show, as I had a lunch date with Mikki (dlpmikki) at Les Chefs de France.

The acrobat was performing and he gathers such a crowd I thought I'd have trouble finding Mikki, but she actually found me first! We checked in and were seated fairly quickly at a four top by the windows. We also saw Remy! He was so cute and squeaked at us for a few minutes. Mikki got some great pictures but mine didn't come out that well. We had a gorgeous lunch and I will definitely return in the future! Thanks for sharing the meal with me, Mikki, it was lovely!

After that I caught up with Jared and we saw Impressions de France. It's such a beautiful film and I love the soundtrack. Made for a nice way to digest lunch too! Once we got out we went over to the UK to meet up (and check in) at Gary's Column! After almost being escorted out (who knew the Column had his own security detail?) I headed over with the senoritas to Japan to experience my first ice cream beer! I loved it and would recommend everyone check it out if they can. Sadly I missed the group drinks in France with Wendy and her clients but Meg took one for the team and drank a slush for me. Thanks Meg!

I shopped around Morocco for a bit and met back up with Jared and had dinner at Tangerine Cafe. Love that place. Then it was time to get over to Norway for our open bar meet and another special guest! We also snuck in a quick ride on Maelstrom. Going back upstairs, the special guest was soon to appear so I grabbed another drink and took a seat. After a lovely speech by John and the moderators presented him with some great gifts we were treated to an appearance by..... Duffy! And not just any Duffy. The most energetic Duffy ever!

Since the park was open until 10 p.m. that meant it would be another 90 minutes until Illuminations. A lot of us had hit our wall by that point, and I was planning on going back to Pop but some people (ahem, Blythe & Christine) convinced me to go to Jellyrolls. So glad I'm easily influenced because I had the best time EVAR! Loved walking around the Boardwalk area and got a quick glance around the inside of the resort. Officially have my heart set on staying there my next trip!

Christine and her husband John were also staying at Pop Saturday night so we left The Rolls around 12:30 a.m., grabbed a DTD bus at Boardwalk and took an AoA bus and then walked to Pop. A long day but so much fun!

Stay tuned for park day 5, coming right up!

Hope your flight takes off as planned and you make it home okay! Doesn't seem to be too bad up in your area yet. Prepare for a bumpy ride though!

Great report! I almost bailed after the Norway meet too, but I was easily influenced to go to Jellyrolls too! I agree...best night EVAR! Must do again in the future.

Sounds like you made it out of Florida on schedule! Good for you!!

I was just too wiped on Saturday evening to stay for the entire Norway meet. It was our intention to stay longer than we did but we had just hit a wall from too long a day!!

Too funny : "crisp" bacon.
While at POP several weeks ago DS kept getting limp bacon with his meal. :( he LOVES bacon and would not touch it. :(
