Oct. 27, 1979 – “Halloween Hysteria,” a special ticket event, took place at WDWs Magic Kingdom.
Oct. 27, 1982 – Disney’s special cartoon “Fun with Mr. Future” was released only in Los Angeles, Ca.
Oct. 27, 1984 – “On Stage in the Magic Kingdom,” a special WDW event, took place between 9pm-1:30am.
Oct. 27, 1989 – The “Disneyland Showcase” Shop opened on Main Street in Disneyland.
Oct. 27, 1995 – The Disney/Hollywood Pictures film “Powder” was released.
Oct. 27, 1998 – Disney’s “The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride” was released direct-to-video.
Oct. 27, 2000 – Officials from the Disney Stores, along with Mickey and Minnie Mouse, opened a second prototype Disney Store at the Cherry Hill Mall in New Jersey.
Oct. 27, 2000 – The Disney film “Playing Mona Lisa” was released.
Oct. 27, 2000 – “Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party” (dates 27th, 29th, 31st) began in the Magic Kingdom at WDW.
Oct. 27, 2001 – The Los Angeles Times reported that the Walt Disney Co. is expected to announce one of its poorest quarters in nearly 10 years, due to the terrorist attacks that happened the previous month.
