Hi,
I was thinking about getting adrs at an MK sit down restaurant before 7 on a party night, 9/11/12.

The intent would be to eat and see the Boo parade on our way out. No rides, no candy. If it's not a big deal, great. If it is, I'll come up with a different restaurant and park to visit.

How aggressive are the CMs going to shoo us out of the MK after 7:00 pm?

Thanks!

I think all the MK TS restaurants close at 6 pm on party nights. I would not count on being allowed to "hang around" after you finish eating without a party wristband once the party officially starts. The first parade doesn't start until 8:15-8:30 and they are intended for paying party guests only. You will probably get asked to leave long before the parade starts.

I have known CM to be pretty aggressive with people who do not have a wrist band on for an event.

My wife and I were leaving from eating at CRT late one night. I think it was evening extra magic hours and not an actual event like MNSSHP.

And a CM asked to see if we had wrist bands on which we didnt cause we were in the park before they were issued and asked us to leave. I showed him our keys to the kingdom card so he loosened up a bit. The only thing he didnt do was follow us leave.

They're pretty aggressive. And they have to be. It's not fair for one person to hang around and see the special parade and fireworks for "free" just because they have an ADR when others have paid for the hard ticket event.

We've done MNSSHP 3 times and each time we saw a similar process. They start with a group of CMs in each land and using a wrist band check point system they gradually work their way to the hub and up Main Street. Without a wrist band traffic only flows one way, out. I'm sure a few people do manage to slip through the check point, it's inevitable with the crowd volume, but there have been lots of complains about non-ticket holders at hard ticket events and Disney seems to be making more of effort to remedy that.

I will also point out that the Intercot Terms of Service do not allow posts that reference ways to "cheat the system" or skirt Disney rules. Since Disney's policy is that non-ticket holders must exit that park at 7pm that's what you should plan to do.

The sweep starts at 7pm, goes from the ends of the lands all the way to the exits. All eating, stores, restrooms and areas are checked. If eating, you will be allowed to finish but a CM will stay behind to insure that folks do not stay past that time.

The sweep takes about 35 to 45 minutes to complete. Lest anyone try to come up with excuses to stay without a wristband, don't bother, between us we've heard them all over the years. LOL.

Thanks for the info. Didn't plan on "hanging around" or "cheating the system". Just walking down Mainstreet on the way out, perhaps with the parade going on.
There are plenty of unenforced Disney policies, just wanted to gauge this one. Sounds like they police it pretty well. Good for them.

Yeah, that's unfortunate because it does make guests wonder and some do try to take advantage of the system. I certainly didn't hear you saying that, but Disney should enforce all their policies as strictly as they enforce this one. I know it's a money issue (non-paying customers are bad business) and the ones they tend not to enforce have little to do with the bottom line, but policies should be enforced across the board or don't have the policy. At any rate - have fun and know that they will usher you out without the wristband before the parade starts.

A friend and I were actually in a restroom last year and there were a couple of teens in there trying to wait out the time so they could stay for the party. A CM actually surprised them in the restroom and asked to see their wristbands. They had on long sleeves and thought no one would ask. They were escorted out of the restroom and followed as we left and watched. We were surprised but happy that we would get to enjoy what we paid for while those who didn't pay would not get that benefit.:mpumpkin: Sorry, not meant to sound mean spirited but, hey, I work hard for the money to afford my Disney!
