My husband and I have been to WDW more times than I can count, starting in 1978, when our kids were young. My husband has diabetes, neuropathy, and retinopathy. I have a bad back, and have had surgery on my spine. We rent scooters, and that helps alot.
We were there in February with our Grandchildren and my husband sat on benches or went back to the hotel because he could not see well enough to get into some of the entrances to the rides. In EPCOT, the Living Seas was a problem, even on the scooter. He was bumping the scooter into the walls. Luckily a wonderful cast member got us out of there thru a side door. I did email Disney to have her
commended. In MK, Pirates of the Caribbean is impossible for him to see in the entrance. At the Haunted Mansion he can not negotiate in the stretch room. His balance is so bad that he can't walk on a moving floor to get to the car. I feel bad for him, because he gets very embarassed, but he still loves WDW. Any suggestions will help, as we will be there in October and I want him to enjoy himself as he once did.
