Dec13-19 is now peak and a main building club level went up 200 $ more a night. Awesome! I was finally going to get to stay there next December but even with a decent discount it's out of reach! Is the 3rd week of December that much busier now?

Yes, it is. In general all of December is getting busier. However, the reason for this shift is a lot of folks were checking in a day before peak season so they could stay over the Christmas break at the discounted price. So, they've moved peak season back a little to prevent that.

So are you saying that your room rate stays the same as the day you check in? The reason I am askin gis that we will be checking in to ASM on 2-10-12, but the rate goes up on the 14th for Valentines day?

Usually, yes, though sometimes it can shift from day to day (usually weekends vs weekdays). The discount definitely applies for your entire vacation.

Sigh.... Maybe we will just say one night at the GF and finish our stay at AKL.
