Trip Review - 'OHana

After numerous trips we decided to try 'OHana for the first time. I was having a hard time getting an ADR but 2 days before I snagged a 750P ressie.

DS17 and DS20 were in heaven! For them, this was the best thing since sliced bread! The food was great, the ambiance festive, and the staff was attentive.

Definitely will return again for dinner. Rating 10 out of 10.

Side note: We decided the woman that leads the limbo parade reminds us of Lana from Three's Company.

We're in the same boat, in all of our trips we've never been to 'Ohana!

Absolutely love 'OHana's! It is the one restaurant that both of my sons request every single time. Glad you enjoyed it! And yes, I agree, the limbo woman does remind me of Lana! (With a deep voice, lol.)

I really wish I'd picked up an ADR for this place. THe Hawaiian atmosphere must be great, along with the food. I tried to get an ADR last week, and 100 days is just too close to grab this one.

Do not lose hope. We have been able to switch reservations last minute, you may not get an ideal time like 5 o'clock but you can definitely get in. Just for giggles I would call whenever you get a chance, once a week, twice a week maybe even just a couple times a month. Keep trying, you may get lucky. And always check day of arrival for your week, go to a guest relations or call from your room. Especially seeing that is a reservation that requires a 24 hour cancelation. Don't give up hope :mickey:

We will be eating there for the first time this trip. I can't wait...it sounds so good. We had a resie for 8:30pm at our 180 day mark, but I kept checking every day and just snagged an 8:05pm. We're at the 88 day mark so I'll keep checking to see if I can get a little earlier. I'm sure it will happen eventually.

We love,love,love Ohanas! Last time we were there dh said "in the future, if we don't get reservations to Ohana's...we don't come to Disney!" Now I don't know if I'd take it that far, but we always manage to get a reservation! And I agree with what someone else said, don't give up hope of you don't get it first, second or even 10th time you check.Reservations always seem to pop up. After checking a bazillion times for a friend who is going in November, I finally found her party of 6 a prime 5pm timespot!

I just noticed that you posted this the day after we ate there! We loved it too, especially the food. The grilled meats were delicious. I thought the woman playing the ukelele was very sweet, and really enhanced the atmosphere. The one thing I didn't like was the absolutely withering look the waiter gave me when I asked for a slice of lime in my ice tea. I consider this a simple request, and I though my skin might peel off from the look he gave me when I asked, so much so that I just said, "actually, a lemon will be fine."

Anyway, thanks for your thoughts. I'd certainly eat there again in a heartbeat!

We first went to 'Ohana when our boys were 9 and 6 years old. We all had a great time. The kids loved the food, the coconut races and the hula hoop contests and thought the big fire grill was the coolest thing. It's still one of our family traditions on every trip.

We also go every trip as it's one of our favorites. My dream is that they add a DVC section to this resort as I would be staying there every trip so I can eat there a few times.
