Hi all!

I feel like I have tapped out my available requests, but really need this one. My friend had a baby a few weeks ago (I posted here, baby Cecelia, so cute!) and was rushed to the ER in an ambulance today. She had a terrible headache, couldn't see or speak and had terrible back pain.

I just spoke to her husband, and she has a bleed in her brain, a kidney stone and some issues from having the baby.

Any pixie dust you all could spare would be really appreciated. I'm freaking out right now for her!

Just talked to her husband again. They are running some tests to see if the bleed needs surgery, and are still working on getting her BP down (it was over 230 at one point). They got the kidney stone settled, so the pain is less now. It's still pretty scary, so if you can, keep sending that dust. I really appreciate it!

Oh goodness...definitely sending lots of positive vibes and pixie dust her way. I can't imagine having something so scary to deal with right after having a baby. Sounds like she is in good hands and the doctors are doing everything they can for her.

Prayers and :pixie: sent her way.

I am so glad they got her to the hospital, and prayed for great and skilled doctors to take care of her.

She's on her way to an MRI right now. There are
two bleeds that they want a better look at. Her BP has stabilized and they have her on a bunch of meds. Once they have the MRI results, they will decide what needs to be done to fix them.

They think this may be the result of Cece's birth, so scary to have something so exciting turn into this...thank you all for the continued prayers and positive thoughts. It's this kind of support and encouragement that makes me so proud to be a part of this amazing community!

Is there any update?

I have a friend who had a brain bleed due to a malformation. She was 27 when it happened. At that time,(80's) they were doing gamma knife surgery with very good success. She has had a productuve full life and is doing fine.

Since I read your post yesterday, I have the Sabbeth Prayer, from fidler on the roof, in my head.

I talked to her husband late last night. They were looking at the MRI last night, and would decide this morning what course of action they were going to take to fix it. Right now they are guessing she will be in the hospital for 10-14 days depending on the repair. She is stable and her BP is under control, so that is good news. Now it's just getting her head fixed up.

The Docs were very happy this didn't happen during labor. There is a pretty good chance it would have killed them both.

Thanks again for the continued prayers. It really does help knowing that so many great people are sending them for her!

Just got another update, finally with some good news. They are going to put 'straws' (her husband's words ;)) around the vessles in her brain that are causing all the problems. It's a much less invasive procedure and God willing, gets her home to the kids within a few days. She won't be able to be alone for a while, but at least she can be home and comfortable.

Again, thank you all for your prayers and positive thoughts. I truly believe it helps!

That is good news, so glad to hear. My mom had a bleed in her brain about 8 years ago now; it was scary! She had to be airlifted to another hospital. She described it as the worst headache she ever had. She fully recovered and had been fine since, but still has her yearly visit with the neurologist.

Thanks! The prayers are helping. She had a scan Thursday and everything was healing nicely. She should know when the surgery is going to be sometime next week.
