Tipping Question again......sorry

on how much to tip The Captain of the pontoon boat. They provide a tour, snacks, and general merriment. We are a party of seven, and we know we are going to have a great time. The boat is $346.00, What would you give? Thank you

We still plan to tip between 15 and 20%

I agree, most car services run 15 - 20% and I would consider this the same thing.

When I did it in 2009 the price was $250. Since there were only 4 of us, I decided to offer the boat up to another family of 4 similar to us. So the other husband and I, we each gave the captain a $20 bill, which worked out to be just a tad over 15%.

So in your case, I realize a $50+ tip sounds high, but it's the appropriate thing to do.
