when will the crowds start arriving for Presidents day monday feb 18?

I'm thinking Friday, Feb. 15. We'll be there for the Mardi Gras holiday (Feb.12) and hope to leave that Friday to avoid the big crowds.

Mardi Gras is the Tuesday before, and many people stay for the entire week. You can expect the Mardi Gras crowds to show up around Saturday, Feb. 9th and many staying through Saturday, Feb. 16th. With Pres. Day weekend crowds coming in probably around Friday Feb.16, the crowds may just continue from one holiday to the next.

We usually go the week before President's day and it's busy. The crowds are definitely heavier near the end of the week.
