We like Mama Melrose, haven't been to Tony's. If you like Calarmari, they do a great job with hot peppers mixed in. Served as an appetizer but is enough to share between two people. They have a Chicken and pasta dish and a Clam & Pancetta pasta dish, both are large portions. I've had their Fish dish and the Osso Bucco, both were good. Overall we've had some good meals there.

MM is not a favorite around here but I would say go and judge for yourself.

I like both, but MM would get the nod between the two. Of course, Via Napoli blows both away for Italian.

We like both, but I would give the edge to MM. With so few dining options in DHS, this is one we return to.

Of the two I'd pick Mama's.

Definitely think Mama Melrose's is the better choice between the too. I've been to Tony's twice and will not go back again.

Agreed. If you're looking for good Italian, I would choose Via Napoli, Il Mulino at the Swan, or maybe try Tutto Italia. Mama Melrose and Tony's are not on my must try lists because of mediocre reviews, though I've seen some better reviews of both lately. if your wife likes mediterranean style food and you're looking for a more fine dining experience, you might try Citricos.

Mama Melrose. I haven't been back to Tony's in a while, it was not good.

If you aren't married to either of those, you could try Via Napoli. Num!

Mama's is better than Tony's. If you're looking for good Italian at Walt Disney World, try Il Mulino.

The gnocchi and penne vodka at MM are amazing. They are pretty comparable. We like options better at MM but we have only eaten there once vs eating at Tonys probably 10 times! Just recently discovered MM on a recent trip.

Enjoy both :mickey:
