We're just 5 weeks out from our WDW Dream Trip! I've always wanted to plan a full 2 week trip to WDW, and finally I have done it! I pray that everything goes smoothly and according to plan, and that we get to build a lifetime of family memories that my children, in particular, will never forget.

Who's going:
Me (41yo)
DW (41yo)
DD1 (11yo)
DD2 (8yo)

My keys to planning the trip:

Day 1: Check-in Day at Pop Century

Direct Flight from Boston to Orlando
Sunday morning leave to avoid rush hour traffic and airport crowds
Utilize Magical Express: No rental car needed
Use online check-in to ease arrival at Pop Century
Pray everything goes smoothly and that our luggage arrives with no issues
No park on the travel day, get comfortable and explore the home resort, in this case Pop Century
Let the kids use the pool, if there's time
Since there's no sit-down at Pop, save the extra DDP credits for Artist Point later in the week
Get a slice (my first ever) of Tie-Dye Cheesecake for dessert at Everything Pop!
Get my DD's their autograph books
Get to bed early for an early rise!

Day 2: Magic Kingdom (1 of 3)

Early rise
Obligatory Main Street Castle photo-op!
Traditional first day breakfast at Crystal Palace
In the park before rope drop!
First Ride: Dumbo, per the kid's request.
After Dumbo, make our way through Fantasyland.
Take our time!
Have a mid-afternoon QS lunch, Pinocchio Haus or Columbia Harbor would be ideal
See Haunted Mansion as the crowds dictate
Spend the late afternoon in Liberty Square
Spend any remaining time on Main Street
Dinner on Main Street or Pop, depending on crowds and fatigue
Try to get to bed early again!

Day 3: Disney Hollywood Studios (1 of 2)

1. Get up early
2. Get to DHS
3. Ride Toy Story Mania for the first time ever!
4. Hopefully ride again via Fastpass
5. Spend the rest of the morning on RnR, ToT, and Star Tours, depending on the wait times
6. Once the morning rush is over, take in as much of the rest of the park at a very leisurely pace, concentrating on the right side of the park
7. Dinner at Mama Melrose around 4:45
8. Head back to Pop
9. Let the kids swim if there's time.
10. Relax and get to bed early.

Day 4: Resort Hopping!

Let the wife and kids sleep in after three days of getting up early.
Do some laundry, no getting up late for me!
Swim away the afternoon
Traditional visit to the Wilderness Lodge
Explore and purchase new WL t-shirt
7 o'clock dinner at Artist Point
Hopefully catch the Water Pageant before returning to Pop for the night

Well, that's just the plan for the first 4 days! If I get bored, I'll post more. Keep in mind that each park is getting at least 2 or 3 days to explore, and we're doing them in sections, to minimize the walking this trip. It may seem rigid in the way I've presented it, but except for the ADR's, everything is flexible and there's lots of room for change and adaptation depending on weather and moods. Hope you enjoyed hearing about my plan. :mickey:

I'm sure you know, but take your swim suits on the plane with you, since the luggage can take three hours to get to the resort, and since you'll get there early your room may not be ready anyway. Have fun exploring the new Art of A...right over the bridge from Pop (our favorite value). we enjoyed having dinner there when we checked out the resort.

Wow, what a great vacation plan so far

DH and I have talked about taking a 2 week WDW vacation for years, but time and money always seem to win out. Maybe once we're retired...:spend:

Can't wait to read all about your trip! :mickey:

Looks like a great start to your trip!
I like the idea for trying to get to get enough rest, sometimes I try to squeeze every minute that I can out of the parks andwhen I return home, I need a few days to recuperate!
