Ok I am just totally excited!!
First, DH got laid off last August and got a really awful job in October and left it in January (really - they were nuts!). Well, we didn't get to go on our 10th anniversary/my 40th birthday trip last September due to his getting laid off :(

So Around March i decided to plan a trip for this fall on the off chance free dining showed up. It did and we managed to get AofA (single room) for 8 nights  Yay - now DH needed a job - quick!

He gets a job and starts the beginning of May - and he LIKES this job, whew!!

Ok - that is great but I really wanted to make it a bit special, I mean after all, this is now our 11th anniversary/my 41st birthday trip so it would be nice to stay at a higher level.

SOOOOOOO I start to get restless... I was hoping room discounts were coming out yesterday but it was another free dining discount instead :humph: I had wanted to try and stay at Beach club or AKL or WL or somewhere with a large room only discount but it just wasn't happening.

Then I started pricing the whole thing at CBR instead but DH came home and wasn't really into CBR - we really can't seem to make ourselves want to stay at any of the moderates for some reason...

Then he said the magic words... "what about Swan or Dolphin?" Hmmm. I started to ponder that... I did know that I could extend my tickets to cover the whole trip and after some research I found out that I only needed 3 nights at AofA to keep the free dining. So I checked with Dolphin and found out the Teacher rate was $229 for a room with a King Heavenly bed :cloud9: and a resort view and I couldn't freaking resist!!

So I made it 4 nights at AofA, 4 nights of free dining, 8 days of park tix and then 4 nights room-only at Dolphin! So we will eat really well the first half and get to check out a brand new resort/room with Little Mermaid and AofA and then when we are about ready to drop, we will move over to Heavenly beds, the boardwalk and much better park access!! I am so flipping excited!! 79 days people :D

I just had to share - pardon the length : )

Wow! Very cool and so nice you were able to work out the trip. I think you will really love the Dolphin. It's a great resort and location! :mickey:

One question though - I thought Little Mermaid rooms weren't included in the free dining?

Melanie,
AofA was available for the previous free dining offer (the one that just passed - you had to check in by 9/29...). This new one that came out yesterday does not include AofA, no.

And thanks
