Vegetarians at San Angel

I know San Angel gets mixed reviews here but we really like it. I love the chicken. I am just worried my MIL who is a vegetarian won't have something she likes.

Has anyone eaten at San Angel with a vegetarian. She is also allergic to milk.

I am trying to talk DH out of Nine Dragons and booking San Angel instead.

Spouse and I are vegetarian, and we have eaten there. They have a vegetarian menu that has only 2 items, a salad and a veggie plate (veggies on a flour tortilla). Both plates looked like they had been sitting around for a week... not good, not fresh, no taste. I just can't recommend it. But then, I don't care for Nine Dragons either. If you want to get MIL some decent vegetarian options, try Le Chefs de France, Via Napoli, Rose & Crown, or Tokyo Dining. La Hacienda is okay, but not worth what they charge.

I'm a vegetarian and I always get a black bean burrito plate. I can't remember what exactly it is, but we've been there many times.
