June 8, 2001 - Maelstrom reopened after repositioning the queue for FastPass.
June 8, 2003 – Disney-MGM Studios’ Great Movie ride reopened after being rehabbed.
June 8, 2003 – Arlo Guthrie closed out the 2003 Flower Power Concert Series with a final show at Epcot.
June 8, 2004 – Walt Disney Records released the soundtrack to the Disney Channel Original Movie Zenon: Z3.
June 8, 2005 – The Walt Disney Co. donated several Disneyland objects to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C. Among the donated items are vehicles from two of Disneyland’s opening year attractions: “Dumbo the Flying Elephant” and the “Mad Tea Party.”
June 8, 2006 – Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone began 4 days of performances at Epcot.
June 8, 2006 – Disney’s El Capitan Theatre held a special midnight screening of the new Disney/Pixar animated feature “Cars.”
June 8, 2007 – A pre-release screening of “Ratatouille” took place at Pixar Animation Studios. At $250 per ticket, the proceeds went to the Emery Ed Fund.
June 8, 2007 – The Disney Channel debuted a weekly program called “Road to High School Musical 2. The series, which would lead up to the premiere of “High School Musical 2, offered viewers a behind-the-scenes look into the production of the sequel.
June 8, 2010 – Disney’s “StarStruck: Extended Edition” was released on DVD.
