Here is the lobby. Everything starts black and white and and turns to color.
Even the cm costumes. At the front desk they're black and white and By the time youre at the gift shop they're in color.

The pool- just amazing. The plants look like underwater ground cover and the trees are "curved" to give the sense of swaying underwater These were taken earlier (we are now at pool watching Nemo after watching illuminations from the stairwell)

Oooh, good to know. How do you set up a tour? Just show up?

They are doing tours every day thru June 15 at 10, 12, 2, & 4. Check it out! Meet in lobby. There is a screen where they do animator lessons like dhs. That's where it starts



Last thing I swear- when you're in the pool, and go underwater, you hear nemo character voices! They're piping them in! It's just mind blowing! And FYI it's a salt water pool- because it IS the ocean you know!

We are staying one night in a CARS room in Sept before moving to AKL.
We plan on doing nothing day 1 other than exploring this hotel and experiencing my 3 year old in a CARS room-his favorite movie thus far! It may be a silly question but does each building have their own themed pool or do they all share the Nemo pool? Also is each area close to each other?

According to the resort directory, the Lion King does NOT have it's own pool. The Cars building is in great proximity to the Nemo pool, and will also have it's own pool. Lion King will be close to Nemo pool, and maybe depending how deep you are, close to mermaid.

The back buildings can be a little bit out there. Mermaid seemed very far as we walked out there. But it's all doable...bring a stroller for your sweet 3 year old! A cars stroller I'm sure! :)
