To check-in online or not - that is the question??

Whew - our countdown is winding down fast and I can check in online on June 1st - is there any reason NOT to check in online? I know that online check in being faster is a '**** shoot' because of the popularity of it.

But what are the reason to or not to check in online??

The only reason not to check in online would be if you need to do some extra add ons at the time you reach the hotel.. The purpose of online check in is to make it quick and easy... get your key to the world and be on your way

i wont have to do online this trip i guess since im staying first at WL CL for a first.
I did it last yr for CBR and it wasnt faster..they had trouble finding my online checkin and this was at night..
but I would probably do it again unless i wanted a specific room

Does it help you get straight into a room, rather than have to wait til later, if you arrive early? We usually take an early morning flight, and find ourselves landing at MCO by 930 am. Most times we have had to "check in", store our bags, and then return later for our room number.

My experience is yes. I've done 11 online check-ins now and have gotten into my room at the moment of check-in (including morning) 8 times. There is a place to put your ETA and they seem to take that into account and try to have you assigned to a ready room around that time. Previous to online check-in I had never had a ready room.

Crow: We did online check-in (even though we were staying club level). It saves time since they already have your credit card info, etc.

I have read where club level online check in's have even been taken right to their room where they sign the paperwork and they are done.

On a different note, I would recommend doing on line check in unless you plan on trying to change your room when you are checking in (i.e you want to try to get a north view wing at WL or you want a room farther away from the pool at Pop Century, etc)

Thanks everyone!! I knew you'd have answers.
Because we have no special requests for our room - I think I'll be doing the online Check-In. WOOHOO - Check In in just 4 days.

I have found that my time at the front desk after online check-in is literally minutes. Gets you on your way that much faster!! :mickey:
