Celebrating 40 years of Disney Parks this year

I am celebrating 40 years of Disney Parks this year. My first trip was the summer of '72 to DL. I didn't get out to WDW until '84. My trips have been amazing over the years. Anyone else on INTERCOT celebrating milestones this year?

I guess I am up there with you. My first time to Disneyland was in 1968. Haven't looked back since.:mickey:

This would be 41 years for me....I grew up in Merritt Island (about an hour away from Orlando) and we went to MK everytime we had company. I was 11 when MK opened in 1971. Oh the sweet memories! :cloud9:

Hadn't thought about it til I read your post - but this is 20 years of visiting WDW.

My very first trip to WDW was 15 years ago this August. I was 20 years old, and I remember thinking "this place would have been so cool to come to as a kid".

My parents took my brothers before I was born, back when it was just MK. They never did make the trip back after having me so I never experienced WDW as a child.

Next year will be my 30th anniversary of visiting WDW (the year after Epcot opened), and my 10th anniversary of visiting Disneyland. :party2:

I think a return trip to Disneyland will definitely be in order! :beer:

I guess I'm still one of the "newbies" when it comes to Disneyworld ... I've only been visiting for 8 years, and DH loves to remind me how he got to go as a kid. Oh well, better late than never!

This will be 36 years for me. My first trip was on our honeymoon back in Oct of 1976. It seems like yesterday I was taking that first step onto Main Street.

I first went in NOvember of 1972. This November, when we go, will be my 40th anniversary!

I haven't been every year, but some years I've been more than once. I have sort of lost count...

I'm just glad they didn't paint the castle Pepto Pink! LOL!
