Happy friday!
It's a lovely day here at the beach.
Weather- perfect! Not hot, almost chilly in the evenings. It rained for about 30 minutes midday, but no biggie.
Activities: DD12 and I went to an activity this afternoon (we overslept this morning for the first activity-but hey, we're on beach time). We did "clay bead jewelry making". Now I thought this would be just stringing beads. No. You MAKE the heads. Took a little more time than I thought (beads have to bake etc) and if you saw mine you'd advise me to keep my day job! Hahaha!
Then body boarding in the ocean (AWESOME waves!) and pool time. They have pool slide contests and DH came in third. He said he WILL be doing that again! His goal is to beat the resort record of 07:29.
DH is fishing, DD is reading, and I'm trying a fruity cocktail before gathering them up for supper.
Dining- had bfast in the room, lunch on our balcony and will have the pail of shrimp and crab sliders at dinner from bleachers tonight.
Shopping- the island grove store is being refurbished. There's a TINY corner of the store open and the hours are restricted to 10-6 until Saturday. That's proven to be of little problem or inconvenience. Just was a surprise last night when DD wanted to see their vinylmation. No worries though.
Laprana I see you're coming in a few days- I hope you have a great time! Keep an eye out for us- my DD has a fishing pole in his hand 99% of the time. DD has a book in her hands 99% of the time, and I have a :marg: in my hand 99% of the time! :blush:
