Adding dining plan after booked

How late can you add the dining plan? If I put final pay down in June for August trip when do I have to book dining plan and pay for. It?

I believe it's no later than the week of your trip, I want to say three days before arrival but hopefully some one will be along to confirm the exact days? You can pay for it on arrival but for some reason Disney requires a minimum of so many days notice prior to arrival.

3 days prior to arrival is the deadline, after that you can not add the dining plan to a reservation. If you add the dining plan inside your 45 day window leading up to your arrival day, you have to pay for it in full right then.

Also, your reservation must already be a package reservation (one including tickets) and not just a room-only reservation, as room-only bookings do not allow the dining plan to be included.
