May 18, 2004 – Walt Disney Records released the “That’s So Raven” television soundtrack.
May 18, 2004 – Disney’s “Miracle” was released on video and DVD.
May 18, 2004 – The much anticipated DVD Walt Disney Treasures-Tomorrowland: Disney in Space and Beyond was released. The set features the “science factual” space shows from the 1950’s.
May 18, 2004 – The Disney Vacation Club Preview Center opened at Disney’s Saratoga Springs resort & Spa.
May 18, 2005 – The new retail shop “BouTIKI” opened in the Polynesian Resort at WDW.
May 18, 2007 – The “Hannah Montana” episode “My Best Friend’s Boyfriend” aired in the Disney Channel for the first time.
May 18, 2007 – The annual “Teddy Bear and Doll Weekend” began in Epcot at WDW.
May 18, 2009 – Christmas came to the Cannes Film Festival courtesy of Disney when Jim Carrey and director Robert Zemeckis arrived in a horse-drawn carriage to show off the first footage from their 3D digital version of “A Christmas Carol,” due in theaters Nov. 6, 2009.
May 18, 2009 – Disney Legend, voice actor, sound effects editor and foley artist for Walt Disney Studios, Wayne Allwine passed away at age 62. Best known as the official voice of Mickey Mouse for three decades (and only the 3rd person to ever voice the famous mouse) Allwine was married to Russi Taylor, the current voice of Minnie Mouse.
May 18, 2010 – Broadway’s “Mary Poppins” debuted 2 new Bank’s children, actors Catherine Missal and Christopher Flaim (portraying Jane and Michael).
