EMH for Epcot--"back door" still open?

We will be staying at the BWV for the first time and love the idea of being able to enter EPCOT at the International Gateway. When EPCOT has extra magic hours, I don't think any of the countries stay open, but does the entrance stay open so we could leave and walk back to our hotel? Thanks!

It has always been open for EMH mornings and nights when I have been there.

Yes, the International Gateway stays open and boats keep running. Some of the countries stay open, too. Not all, and not the same ones all the time, and not always the whole venue, but you will find some things open. Maelstrom participates in EMH, and the Mexico boatride.
