Does one have to make reservations ahead of time to eat on the "adult side" of the island?

If one is doing an excursion and you are busy with that from 9:45 to 12:15 is there really any sense to eating on the island? Perhaps just do your thing and go back to the ship & eat on board?

No. Reservations are not needed for any of the buffet areas on the island. It's just a case of first-come, first-served. There's plenty of seating, and lots of folks just take their food back to the beach.

The barbecue area is open until mid-afternoon; we've often eaten there around 2pm, and it was still going strong.
