According to today's Wall Street Journal, Disney's 4th Quarter profits rose over 30% due to Theme Park attendance/spending and television profits, despite the John Carter flop. It basically said that more people are going to their theme parks and spending more when they get there. How does this bode for things like free dining? Do they keep doing it because it's helping or do they take the chance of stopping it because they "don't need" to do it? We are going in November and hoping for a free dining announcement in the summer.

I think you will see the free dining more so than continuing room discounts.(It's actually already happening if you look at the room only discounts that were just recently released) Free Dining ensures that you have to pay rack rate, have to get park tickets for every person in your party and will spend all your time for meals on site and in the parks.

In short, Free Dining is a VERY good deal for Disney and IMHO will be the trend into the future.
