I recently read on one of the posts that there are paths you can take to get a better view of the tree of life that does not take you to Tough to be a Bug. Where are these paths? Do they just go in a circle around the tree or are they a way to get from one area to another?

Those paths are one of the best 'hidden' gems of WDW. They go right up to the base of the Tree of Life. You get an amazing upclose look at the carvings.

The paths start near the entrance to ITTBAB. Ask a CM to point you to the specific entrance... I've been on them quite a few times and still have trouble figuring out just where to enter.

Another entrance on the way to Africa to the right. If a path doesn't say Cast Members only, go...

Although if you are there right NOW - chances are all the paths are closed due to a Tree of Life limb falling off.

But yes, there are Paths that don't all lead to the attraction and they are wonderful to meander.

We did it last Saturday. Girls were amazed you could get so close to the tree. We all had a great time.

Awesome! Thank you all for the great tips. I will definitely be checking out the trail in September.

Lots of cool animals along those trails as well as getting a close up look at the carvings.
