I know that you can call at 7am on the 180 days away from your trip to make the ADRs. But what about online? Does it switch over and allow you at 7am as well? Or at midnight?

Anyone have experience waiting for the magic moment online?

The new day online begins at 6am.

I have to admit, getting up at 5:45am to be ready to make ADR's is a bit harder than being up at 6:45am. :)

Hard but well worth it!:mickey:

And just to be clear, that's 6 am eastern (5 central, etc) that the online becomes available. The only problem is the online system sometimes has a hard time because of all the people who try to get on it right as things switch. The last two times I tried it was nothing but frustrating. So I waited a couple of hours and got on and got everything I wanted anyway.

My last trip to Disney they only did call in ADR's and everything went great. This time around I gave online a try and had no problems. It was a little annoying to have to enter my contact phone number and credit card over and over, but no big deal otherwise. I think I started my computer up and signed in around 5:55am. The only ADR issue was a dinner time I either had to go with 35 minutes after I wanted for almost an hour earlier. That isn't so bad though, because had I waited til 7am to call it probably would have been much worse. Good luck! :-D

Unfortunately online ADR's were a no-go for me yesterday. I could pull up my resort reservation (room-only, no DDP), but I absolutelu couldn't do the 180 + 10..... strictly 180 days out.

So, after entering my confirmation number over, and over, aaaaand over... I gave up and called in. We were able to get everything we wanted, but had to push back a couple dinners by anywhere from 30-90 minutes (Flying Fish and Yachtsman - and these are later in our trip). Others were the times we wanted, or within 15 minutes.

DH made the call for me since he was off yesterday, and I had to get to work He said the CM on the other end told him they are still have a lot of problems with the online system.

Same thing happened to me yesterday! I had to call.

SurferStitch, I encountered the same problem. I got up very early and started my ADRs. I could make the first ADR online (exactly 180 days out), but the +10 ressies were a no-go. I tried several times. I even tried using a different browser but no luck. I finally got frustrated and called WDW Dining to make rest of trip's ADRs.

ANG and Mr Peetrie....

Are you on a dining plan? I only ask because a friend of mine is on DDP, and he had no issues at all. We have TiW (no DDP). It kept saying it couldn't link my dining plan to my reservation. Well, since I don't have one, that makes sense!

I'm just wondering if this is a glitch with the system or not. Probably not, but I've never had problems before (I made ADR's for our December 2011 trip, room only, no DDP, without any problems online.)

And yeah.... we tried the different browser as well.... nada.

We are using the DDP. I even had paid for it in full weeks before I tried to make the ADRs

SurferStitch, we are not on DDP. We are planning on using TIW this trip.

Is it really that essential to get on the minute that the time frame opens?

We are something like 170 days out and I was still able to get everything I wanted.
I even got a 5:30 at 'Ohana.

I've found that as a party of only 2 people, it is sometimes VERY important to be on as soon as it opens.

A table for two at 'Ohana (breakfast or dinner) isn't easy. Party of 4? Piece of cake. Party of 2.... not so much.

Also, Teppan Edo, Le Cellier, and to my surprise.... Flying Fish and Yachtsman are not easy to get if you wait (for the times you want... or any times at all). Yachtsman is the last night of our 9 day trip (Nov. 3), and calling in at 7:00 am resulted in us not being able to get the time we wanted, and needing to take a ressie for 90 minutes later. Sure, we got in, but at 180+8 days.... we should have gotten our pick of times. We also didn't get the time we wanted at Flying Fish.

When we went with another couple last year (in May), we didn't make dining ressies until about 2 months out. We had our pick of times/places. I was really surprised. I'm never quite that lucky as a party of 2.
