Wave Hill or Rivedale Park in New York City

We're planning on going to New York City tomorrow to see the space shuttle Enterprise fly up and down low over the Hudson River on the NASA 747. Is anyone familiar with wither Wave Hill or RIverdale Park. Can anyone explain what kind of places these are, and if we'll be able to go right to the river to see this?

I've been to Riverdale Park but it was not right on the water. Remember the last scene in "You've Got Mail"... that's Riverdale Park.

I'm not sure how far down they're going in their flyby, but I would head down more to the area south of the Intrepid or down to the area near Chelsea Pier. They are walkways right along the water in those areas.
