According to the BBC, Philip Glass's opera about Walt Disney is to get its UK premiere at the English National Opera (ENO) next year. It's called 'The Perfect American'.

British baritone Christopher Purves has been cast as Disney, while soprano Janis Kelly will play the role of Disney's studio nurse.

Glass's Disney opera will receive its world premiere in January in Madrid.

I like opera, Philip Glass, and of course, all things Walt Disney, and I kept trying to pinpoint my reaction to this. Considering that it's a combination of the three, all I could come up with was, "weird."
