Apr. 19, 2003 – WDW’s Magic Kingdom hosted the 1st of 5 Grad Nights.
Apr. 19, 2004 – Jiminy Cricket, along with representatives from the Walt Disney World Community Relations Department and Walt Disney World Ambassador, Sara Bishop, dropped in on a 5th grade class form West Gate Elementary School in West Palm Beach to tell the students that they are going to be honored at the WDW Resort in May as the winners of a statewide environmental education program called Jiminy Cricket’s Environmentality Challenge. The program encourages students to think and act environmentally at home, school, and in the community.
Apr. 19, 2005 – Disney’s “On The Record” ( a touring musical stage show) began performances at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, Fl.
Apr. 19, 2005 – The new Disney album “Disney Bossa Nova” was released on CD.
Apr. 19, 2005 – The Disney film “National Treasure” was released on DVD and VHS.
Apr. 19, 2005 – Disney released its first two film “Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl” and Kill Bill Vol. I” on video-game format on Sony’s PSP.
Apr. 19, 2006 – “The “Happiest Balloon on Earth” took to the skies over the San Francisco Bay Area. (The Tour, an 11-week trek throughout the western U.S. and Canada celebrating Disneyland’s 50th anniversary made its 5th city stop at the St. Frances Yacht Club in San Francisco, Ca.
Apr. 19, 2008 – Disney Channel debuted “Greece Lightning,” the 25th episode of the animated series “Phineas and Ferb.”
Apr. 19, 2009 – WDW’s Space Mountain” shut down for major renovations. It is the first time “Space Mountain” has temporarily closed for improvements since the popular attraction first opened at Disney World in 1975. The renovations included new track inside the nclosed coaster, a new enclosure for the ride’s queing area, and a new ceiling.
Apr. 19, 2010 – Major League Baseball Properties and Disney Consumer Products unveiled 36 different designs of MLB-themed Mickey Mouse collectable statuettes and related apparel and merchandise in celebration of the 2010 MLB All-Star Week Festivities whick will take place July 9-13 in Anaheim, Ca.
