The Cast:
DH - Going since '73 baby!!
DW - master trip planner
DS12 - first trip - in the womb '99
DS10 - fearless
Day 1 sunny / low 80's
Drove over from the In-Laws in Delray, arriving around 2:30....ahhhh, driving thru those Disney gates!! :mickey: Quick check-in, bags and us to the room to unwind, unpack and undo the stress of driving 1400 miles over the past few days. Dinner ressies for O'Hana and we're already thinking of wings, peanut dipping sauce and mucho meats! Did not disappoint. My younger - DS10 - is no longer a childs menu slave (he loves to chow down) and this was his first 'skewers of meat' kinda meal. The wings as always and the pork were particular standouts this go around.
Off to MK - crowds pretty manageable considering the holiday week. Hit up Stitch for the first time. Didn't seem like it would be super scary for most little ones but the attraction itself did nothing for me. No great special effects, not real funny....see ya Stitch. :ack: Did good ol' Buzz, Tommorowland Speedway where everyone can now drive their own 7 mph pocket rocket! POTC and then hit up Splash last - thankfully! Ride had broke down while in line and we were heading out with most when she started up again. We were right at the spot to actually get on so worked out pretty well. Until....I got in the front row with DS10 and man, we got drenched! Not a chilly night by any stretch but I have NEVER gotten that wet on that ride before.
Back to the room. went down and picked up a few souvenier mugs and called it a night.
