Magic, Memories, & Summer
4/26/12 The Magic Kingdom has announced a special Summertime edition of the Magic, the Memories, & You! nighttime show. The special version of the show will add a summer themed segment that features Cinderella Castle being transformed into a sandcastle. The special version of the show will start May 25, 2012, although an end date has not been announced.
InnovenChange
4/26/12 Innoventions debuted a new exhibit earlier this week. Vision House opened in Innoventions East on April 22 replacing the House of Innoventions. The refreshed exhibit features a guided tour through fully renovated rooms showcasing the latest home technologies from Nexia, Trane, Schlage, Kohler, Sylvania, Armstrong, Hanwha Solar, and Boral. The tour is conducted in groups of 12 and lasts approximately 20 minutes.
Washed Out?
4/16/12 As part of the Test Track refurbishment project, the surrounding area has recently undergone a significant change. The Cool Wash Pizza kiosk has closed and been removed. It has not been announced if a new kiosk will be added or if the removal is a permanent reduction in dining options.
Primate Premier
4/7/12 The AMC Downtown Disney 24 Theater will be hosting a red-carpet premier ceremony for Disneynature’s Chimpanzee. The event is scheduled for April 13, 2012 at 11:00 am and will features appearances by Alastair Fothergill, Mark Linfield, and Jane Goodall.

4/7/2012 More details have been announced for the forthcoming Gusto wine bar in Epcot’s Italy pavilion. The new 96 seat venue will offer more than 200 wines and a small plate menu featuring a variety of meats, cheeses, sandwiches, and sweets. The new venue has been announced to open in Early May 2012 and will be open daily from 11:30 am till 9 pm. The location has been announced as participating on the 2012 Disney Dining Plan.
2/23/12 A new kiosk has opened in Epcot’s Italy pavilion to compensate for the lengthy Tutto Italia Ristorante refurbishment. The kiosk is offering items such as spicy shrimp pasta, baked cheese ravioli, panini sandwiches, and chocolate cannoli priced $7 - $10. The location also offers Italian beer and wines.
1/25/12 Epcot Cast have reported that the Tutto Italia Ristorante refurbishment has been extended. The new opening date has been announced as April 28, 2012.
1/11/12 Tutto Italia Ristorante in Epcot’s Italy pavilion closed for a multi-month refurbishment on January 8, 2012. Epcot Cast have reported that multi-month refurbishment include remodeling the restaurant interior and adding a new wine bar. The new wine bar will be called “Gusto” and specialize in Italian wines.
Hot and Cold
4/7/12 When the Plaza Ice Cream Parolor re-opened late last month, it added a new hot menu item. The Magic Kingdom dining location has added Gourmet Hot Cocoa. The hot drink is 70% Valrhona cocoa and is served with whipped cream and chocolate shavings in a souvenir mug. The new sweet treat is priced at $5.99.
Re-Making the Marketplace
4/7/12 As the Basin and Wolfgang Puck Express projects have been completed, the Rainforest Café project is heavily underway with the iconic volcano structure recently removed. It has been announced that the Rainforest Café project will be complete October 2012.

1/25/12 The Downtown Disney Marketplace has recently started three refurbishment projects. Wolfgang Puck Express has closed its outdoor seating area for a refurbishment project. The counter service dining location has announced that it will enclose the current seating area with a new sun room. It was further announced that the sun room will be converted to an open-air enclosure during the warmer weather months. The new seating area is scheduled to open Mid-February 2012. The Basin store has closed for a major refurbishment. The location will re-open in Mid-Mach 2012 with a newly designed interior. Rainforest Cafe has started a major renovation of the restaurant's exterior. In addition to the exterior cosmetic changes, the restaurant will open a new lounge in Fall 2012. Wolfgang Puck Express and Rainforest Cafe are operating normally during the refurbishments.
A Couple of Additions
4/7/12 In Mid-April the Celebrate a Dream Come True parade will reportedly add a new royal couple. Entertainment Cast have reported that Rapunzel and Flynn Rider will be added to the parade on April 15, 2012. It has not been reported if the addition will replace existing characters or not.
A Magnetic Market
4/7/12 Magnetron has returned to the Downtown Disney area, but with a smaller footprint. The former Downtown Disney WestSide tenant has opened a kiosk in the Downtown Disney Marketplace.
Snack Attack
4/7/12 The Walt Disney World resort has recently added some new snack options across the property. Captain Cook’s at Disney’s Polynesian resort has added Lemon Ginger and Chocolate Macadamia cupcakes. Tamu Tamu Refreshments at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has replaced its burger offering with a new beef pitta sandwich. A new snack cart in the Storybook Circus section of the Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland is offering cotton candy, popcorn, and ice cream novelties. Sweet Cream Cheese pretzels, a popular Magic Kingdom snack, can now be found at the Pretzel Garden in the Streets of America section of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
