Am I understanding this correctly? The newly renovated rooms in the "mansions" section have queen beds but the newly renovated rooms that feature the murphy beds in the "alligator bayou" section still have full size beds.

Anyone know? Thank you!

When the renovation is complete all the rooms will have 2 queens with the exception of the king bed rooms.

I thought the alligator bayou section (after renovation) will have 2 queen beds and the pull down bed is slightly larger then what the trundle was.

Can anyone confirm

I haven't been able to find any information confirming that either. Looks like the new rooms are still using the old full size headboards and from the pictures I've seen the new beds look like full size beds (although it's hard to tell) which is why I asked :mickey:

The renovated, murphy-bed AB rooms have queen beds. :mickey:

Thank you so much to all who replied! That's a relief! Disney is smart. We were looking at accomodations off site because I can't see us cramming into full size beds now that my 2 over age of 3 are getting bigger. Makes the moderates more appealing to me then the deluxe but shhhhh don't tell them that

Anyone know the actual size of the pull down bed? Is it a twin?

It is smaller than a twin. I'm not sure the exact size, but the new ones are slightly larger than the old ones, which were really designed for children, shorter and narrower than a "real" bed.

I read somewhere (and now I can't find it) that the murphy beds were 65" x 30" (I think 30" but may have been 36"). The old trundles were 70" long I believe. They are suppose to be fine for a child 9 and under.

Thanks guys

I'm only 5 foot tall and I remember laying on the trundle just to see how it felt for my kids and I fit ok. My youngest is just slightly shorter than me (she's 12 and VERY happy she's going to pass me up very soon in height!!) so I'm hoping she will be ok on it.

FWIW, my 11 year old is quickly reaching the 5' mark, and he had no trouble on the murphy bed.

The new Murphy beds are larger than the old trundles. And the rooms that have been refurbed now contain double queens.
