Hi, We have never stay here. Can anyone recommend a nice location to request for?
Are the villas right on the boardwalk? We wouldn't want to be on the first floor above the boardwalk because of the noise? Any info would be appreciated! We are looking for a one or two bedroom villa? Thanks so much!

I would definitely request a location close to an elevator. The halls are long and it can be a can be a pretty far walk. And if you don't want the 1st floor, maybe request an upper floor.

I'm only familiar with booking Boardwalk through DVC. When I do that, I'm given the option of a standard view, a preferred view or a Boardwalk View. I've only booked a standard view and a preferred view. When we did standard, we had to walk down 3 very long hallways to get to our room. We had a view of the parking lot. I didn't care about the view, but the 3 long hallways were awful. Definitely ask to be closer to the elevator.

When we booked the preferred view, we could see the pool. We only had to walk down one hallway. I forgot to request near the elevator, but still the walk wasn't bad.

It costs a few more points to book preferred view over standard view, but it's worth it. I think Boardwalk view costs the most points. I've never done that, though. I want to, but like you, don't want to hear the noise at night. It would probably be the best location if you want to be close to stuff. The pool is behind the building that fronts the Boardwalk.

Boardwalk View and Preferred View have the same point cost for DVC reservations. I don't know if that is the same for cash reservations. Originally, boardwalk view was simply a request made on a preferred view. I guess that they received so many requests that the formalized it reservation, as a separate room category.

We had Boardwalk view once, and got a second floor room overlooking the lawn between the lobby's patio and the surry bike rental station. We had no problem at all with noise.

The other posters are right that there are some long walks in that building. Sometimes it seems that you can walk halfway to the studios within the villas. If you don't want to be that far away, I would consider asking to be close to the lobby - I'm sure that there are elevators at the far reaches of the resort, and it would be dissapointing to end up near one of those if it wasn't what you had in mind.

The only elevators within Boardwalk Villas are the ones near the pool. On our first stay at Boardwalk, our room was at the very end of the hall that's the furthest away from the elevators, and all that was there were stairs.
