2nd funny story from our trip

I remember this today reading something about Carousel of Progress.

We were at MK late in the day because we planned to see Main St. Electrical Parade and the fireworks. We stood in line for about 20 minutes to see Buzz and decided to go see COP - neither of my kids had seen it before and I thought it would be a good rest for their legs.

I figured we might have a little restlessness but both kids seemed to really pay attention to the show. :cloud9:

For the next 2 days C (age 5) kept asking me if I would take her on the ride again with the people.
Me: "What people?"
C: "You know the one with the 4 people."
Me: huh?
C: "The one that goes around."
Me: You mean the carousel with the horses?
C: No MOMMY THE PEOPLE!!! and they sing.
Me: "Oh! Do you mean the COP?"
C: Yes! I love that ride!
My husband: "What kind of brainwashing mind control are you using on the children?"

Awww...That is adorable! And just goes to show you that it stands the test of time! Kids don't need thrill rides, or even Disney cartoon characters, to fall in love with the magic of Disney! I love the COP! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing! My 3-year-old loved the COP on our last trip. We even got him to sing along as the ride rotated. (We had the ride mostly to ourselves so he didn't disturb anyone.)

We had never gone on COP and it was raining so in we go. DD 13, DD 10, and DS 8 loved it. Whenever the song comes on my iPod "The Best Time of Our Lives" they talk about COP. They love listening to Disney music in the car.:mickey:
