Sad News: One of the Best CM's...

The Walt Disney World Railroad just lost one of its best engineers tonight. Engineer Donna Lacerenza passed away after a very short battle with some very aggressive cancer. She was one of the show train engineers on the weekends, and kept those trains on time at the end of the night. Gonna miss ya, hon.

She faced a lot of adversity throughout the time that I knew her, but she always had a smile on her face and encouraging words on her lips. I know that she took her job at Disney very seriously. I have worked on main street for 7 years. I spent many hours laughing, smoking and listening to whatever Donna was fired up about. She was fiesty and down to earth. Being an engineer was her passion. One thing I didn't mention...was that Donna and I were in a relationship for two years - which is what makes this news kind of heart-breaking to me. :(

We had so much fun working together on the trains. Unfortunately, things didn't work out between us. :( Still, she was one of the most passionate Cast Members that I ever knew.
