My sister uses a cane to walk. She wants to take her dd and dn on the trail ride at Fort Wilderness.

Do they have any sort of assitance to aid her mounting the horse? I was wondering if they had some sort of stairs with a platform she could use to get up.

Thanks,

Hi ! My family & I did the horseback riding in January 2007.They do have a platform that they bring the horse up to for you to mount it.You can't bring anything with you.No cameras, backpacks, etc. They provide free lockers to put your stuff in.You have to be at least 9 years old to ride. You also have to sign a waiver. It's up to you if you wear a helmet or not. They do provide that.We saw bunnies and deer on the trail. It was a wonderful experience.:mickey:

Yes, stairs and platform to get on the horses. I really enjoyed doing this. Relaxing, peaceful and beautiful setting. We did it early in the morning though before it got too warm, which may be wise depending on time of year.

This sounds like so much fun! How much does it cost to go horseback riding? And approximately how long does it last?

Thanks for the answers! Intercot Rocks:thumbsup:

Cost is $46 per person and it is a 45 minute trail ride.

Go to the Walt Disney World web page. It is under recreation in the things to do tab. Look for the Tri-Circle D ranch for more info.
