Mar. 1, 2005 – Disney’s special 2-Disc DVD of the animated 1942 masterpiece “Bambi” was released.
Mar. 1, 2005 – The Disney film “The Pacifier” had its premiere at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, Ca.
Mar. 1, 2005 – Disney’s classic restored film “Bambi” was released as a special edition DVD.
Mar. 1, 2005 – The Tokyo Disneyland nightly show of 200,000 lights, “Cinderellabration: Lights of Romance” began. (Ran through Mar. 18, 2005)
Mar. 1, 2006 – The soundtrack to Disney’s “High School Musical” reached the number one spot on the Billboard 200 for the first time.
Mar. 1, 2007 – The Atlanta Braves played their first home spring training game against a major league team at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida. The Braves beat the Los Angeles Dodgers, 7-2.
Mar. 1, 2007 – Meg Crofton, president of WDW announced that two large tracts of land on different areas of its 43-square mile property are being developed. The first, a 900-acre golf community, will replace the existing Eagle Pines golf course at the Bonnet Creek Golf Club with a Four Seasons Hotel. The second project, also unnamed, is located on 450-acres near the new Western Beltway that Disney plans to sell to an as-yet-unnamed developer or group of developers.
Mar. 1, 2009 – New York Yankees pitchers C.C. Sabathia and Joba Chamberlain took a spin on “Toy Story Mania! 3-D” attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The two pitchers were at WDW for “ESPN The Weekend.”
Mar. 1, 2009 – The 16th “Epcot Flower and Garden Festival” began at WDW. (Ran thru May 31st)
Mar. 1, 2010 – “Disneyland Dream,” a true-life story of a 1956 trip to Disneyland, Ca. by the Barstow family from Wetherfield, Ct. were the winners in a nationwide contest by “Scotch” Brand Cellophane Tape,, was released on DVD.
