It has taken me a couple of weeks to get to this.
The cast of characters: Me(DW) 46; DH 47; DD18.
Our home away from home for the week: Port Orleans French Quarter. First time staying here.
Dates for our trip: February 1-7, 2012

Our actual travels began on the evening of January 31st. We decided that since our weather can be so unpredictable we would drive to Denver the night before our flight. It makes it so much less stressful. We were up at 4 am for a 6:15 flight out of Denver. Our flight to Orlando was uneventful. We landed in Orlando at 12:45. Half hour earlier than scheduled. This was our first time using Magical Express. It was so easy. Before we knew it we were at the resort. We have stayed at Port Orleans Riverside on our last trip. We had decided we would like to try a smaller resort. Check in was easy and fast. DD received her birthday pin and graduation pin to wear during our stay. We were in building 1 on the 2nd floor. Our room 1245 was very nice. When we arrived in the room - the luggage was already there and there was a towel Mickey head on the bed. We all changed and were out hte door to Magic Kingdom. We always start our trips here. First course of action a few photopass pictures on Main Street. I had prepurchased the CD and wanted to get as many pictures as we could. Took the request picture of the back of our photopass card.(Thank you to all of you have suggested that!) It was so wonderful to be back again! We wandered through some shops and found a small bite to eat. We had dinner reservations for 6:50 at Liberty Tree Tavern and didn't want to fill up. We found Princess Tiana easily and got some pictures with her and her prince. Then it was time to hit some rides. Our first ride was Space Mountain request of DD. Line was short we were on within 10 minutes. We also managed to do Buzz Lightyear(2), the People Mover, Swiss Family Robinson and Winnie the Pooh before it was time for dinner. This trip was a leasure laid back trip. We wandered over to Liberty Tree Tavern and checked in. Our wait was only 10 minutes. Everyone was saying congratulations and Happy Birthday to DD. She had a huge smile on her face. Dinner was very good. Hit the spot after traveling and wandering the park. We finished just in time for Wishes. After Wishes we decided to wander to let the crowds thin out a bit before leaving the park. We got some pictures and wandered the shops. When we left Magic Kingdom we decided to head over to the Boardwalk. Several of our friends had told us it was a fun time. We must have picked the wrong night or it was the wrong time of year. A couple of games were open and we saw one street performance. After wandering around for half an hour we decided to walk the walkway all the way around. It was a beautiful evening with very nice temperatures. After that we caught a bus to Downtown Disney. We wandered a few shops before taking the boat back to the resort. All in all our first day was great. Back at the resort we found a gift from friends of ours waiting. A nice little cooler/picnic tote filled with Disney yummies, water, juice and fruit. Before bed we plans for Day 2. Hollywood Studios!
